Care guide
Leopard gecko care
A dry, terrestrial gecko with a warm hide and a humid retreat.
Heat
Keep the warm hide around 30–32°C and the cool side near 24°C. Use a thermostat. Night temperatures can fall to the low 20s.
Humidity
Ambient humidity stays near 30–40%. Offer a moist hide with damp sphagnum so the gecko can shed cleanly.
Feeding
Juveniles eat every other day. Adults eat every 2–3 days. Gut-load insects and dust with calcium. Leave a small water dish.
Handling
Support the body. Never grab the tail — leopard geckos can drop it.
